Week of Welcome • Newayak Kisikohk Planetarium with George Desjarlais

Stop by the Miyo- Pimâtisiwin Centre for some interactive learning and some cinnamon sugar Bannock on Tue, Jan 21 from 1 – 2 pm.

The planetarium allows participants to virtually observe stars accompanied by traditional Indigenous storytelling. You will learn wayfinding techniques and other ways the Cree utilized the night sky. Topics include 9 circumpolar constellations, north star, moon, and Venus.

This session is 1 hour long with 25 spots available for those who would like to participate.
