Nominations are now open for the upcoming Students’ Council Election. Submit your nomination package before the deadline of Wed, Sep 13 at 12 pm (noon) MT.
As students, you have unique perspectives and talents. We value your input and want to help you create positive change for students, by students. By running for Students’ Council, you have the opportunity to learn new skills and enhance your resume while advocating for students at NorQuest. Being on Students’ Council opens up many opportunities for training, development as well as scholarships and awards.

Send your questions to us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, by email at SANQCElections@norquest.ca, or drop by the SANQC Office (1-114, SCFL). Find out more about the 10 hour monthly requirement, the honorarium that you will receive for your contributions, or just to learn about the team.

How to run for Students’ Council:
- The deadline to submit a nomination package ended on Wed, Sep 13 @ 12 pm (noon) MT.
- Get your student nominators.
- Check your NorQuest student email often for updates and further information and instructions.
- The submission deadline is Wed, Sep 13 at 12 pm (noon) MT.
You’ll receive an email confirming your submission. Make sure the students that nominated you know to watch their email so they can help finalize your nomination package.
Nominating somebody to run for Students’ Council?
- The Nominator Verification deadline ended on Mon, Sep 18 @ 10 am MT.
- Make sure to click the verification link sent to your NorQuest student email.

- Mandatory All Candidates Meeting: Wed, Sep 20 from 5 – 7 pm MT
- Coffee with the Candidates: Mon, Sep 25 from 10 am – 12 pm (noon) MT
- Election Voting Period: Mon, Sep 25 @ 12 pm (noon) – Wed, Sep 27 @ 12 pm (noon)
- SANQC Onboarding Retreat Weekend: Fri, Oct 13 – Sun, Oct 15
- SANQC Annual General Meeting (AGM): Wed, Nov 29
